National Context & Objectives
The nationwide initiative, Swachh Bharat, Swachh Vidyalaya, was launched by the Government of India with the following objectives:
- Providing separate toilets for boys and girls.
- Improving Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) infrastructure.
- Promoting positive behavioural changes regarding cleanliness and sanitation.
- Recognizing schools through the Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar.
Swachh School Campaign at SNSS Academy
- Cleanliness is maintained throughout the school campus at all times.
- Classrooms, playgrounds, and toilets are kept neat and hygienic.
- Cleanliness drives are organized once or twice every month with active participation from students and teachers.
- Separate toilets are available for boys, girls, male staff, and female staff.
- The management gives special attention to menstrual hygiene.
- Each floor has 3–4 handwashing stations.
- Our green campus is enriched with many trees and plants, creating a healthy environment.
- Waste segregation is practiced regularly, and students are encouraged to follow the same while extending full support to Nagar Nigam, Gorakhpur.
